One really large man's quest to become a somewhat smaller man.

Not too bad ...

I made it through today without chewing off my arm. On the menu were:

(3) large coffees w/sugar and cream
(1) tuna fish sandwich
(1) toasted pita bread with peanut butter
(1) tea biscuit

I don't know what that adds up to in calories, but it's a hell of a lot less than I would normally be eating. I'm guessing 2,000 when I might take in 4,000-4,500 on the average day.

More good news: my wife had her first day back at the gym today and called to say she feels great. That's nice to hear. I just wish I had time to go myself.

Just fucking sad ...

So it's not March (as you can see for yourself on the timestamp) and I threw away the diet again. I hadn't had a passing thought about this blog until last night, when I told my wife how sad it was the only time we ever went out was to eat.

So I'll give it another shot, starting as of this morning. I haven't weighed myself yet, but I think I'm probably still just as porky as I was last year. Yippee.

So far this morning I've had a coffee (two milks, three sugars, one shut the hell up), a tea biscuit and a banana. This beats the hell out of the half-coffee, half-hot chocolate and two donuts I normally eat from Timmy's. I'm hanging in so far, right?

One fat man's struggle to become less of a man.
